A Message for Subscribers Outside the US

In First Class Flyer we often list the number of miles needed for an award ticket based on a departure from the US. But that doesn’t imply that the amount would be different if the routing were reversed. The cost in miles is the same for a New York-Frankfurt award as it is for a Frankfurt-New York award. That is not the case with published fares, which will vary depending upon the departure city. Here, the prices we give are based on US departures. (Space constraints prevent us from giving the price for the reverse itinerary, but you should be able to find that easily online.) In other words, most of the strategies in First Class Flyer are just as valuable to subscribers abroad as they are to domestic subscribers.
