Air Canada Bonus Miles Bonanza

Aeroplan, Air Canada’s loyalty program, is offering three different bonus miles promotions. Members can earn:

• Up to 15,000 bonus miles for travel within Canada, or between Canada and the continental U.S., through May 3rd: 3,000 miles for every three one-way flights taken, 4,000 additional miles (7,000 total) for six one-way flights, and 8,000 additional miles (15,000 total) for nine one-way flights.

• Double miles for First Class travel from Canada to Hong Kong, Shanghai, or Beijing, between March 1st and April 30th.

• 15,000 bonus miles for travel from Toronto to London on selected flights through March 31st.

SWISS Unveils New First Class

This spring, SWISS will begin the gradual rollout of Airbus A330-300 aircraft with newly designed First Class cabins. The new planes will appear on routes currently served by A330-200s, which are being retired.

Each First Class “suite” offers a 23-inch in-flight entertainment screen, and extensive adjustment options for enhanced privacy and comfort while working, dining, or sleeping. The new lie-flat seats are 22 inches wide (28 inches in bed mode).

SWISS is a Star Alliance member, same as United and US Airways. Also remember SWISS is part of the 2-for-1 Amex program, eligible for 2-for-1 for First Class travel.

Air India Offers 2-for-1 Deal

Until the end of March, Air India is offering free companion tickets on flights from India to the U.S., Canada, and Europe. The carrier also offers the deal from Europe to the U.S., and from the UK to the U.S. and Canada. For this promotion, tickets can be booked by phone, but not online.

AAdvantage 30% Buy-miles Bonus

New Business Class Seat on TAP

TAP Portugal has launched a new fleet of Airbus A330s to service its Newark–Lisbon route, with connections to other world destinations. TAP’s A330 Business Class cabin has 24 seats that recline 170 degrees and offer personal video entertainment systems, power outlets, and reading lights.

Round-trip fares from Newark to Lisbon start at $2,200 with a 14-day advance purchase (available through April 17th). Shorter-notice fares range from $2,600 to $3,300, round-trip.
