For a limited time, use FCF’s research to experience what could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, getting Singapore’s A380 First Class Suite, through an unconventional, yet simple process—currently with wide-open availability—and available to almost anyone
Singapore Airlines recently announced that as of Dec. 4, First Class Suites on its A380 are now eligible for mileage redemption at the saver rate through its Kris-Flyer loyalty program. If you’re not a member of, or directly affiliated with, the airline’s loyalty program, don’t worry. More on that in a moment.
Until now, the Suites were priced at stratospheric rates. That’s changed: You can fly in a Suite for as little as 31,875 miles one-way. (Singapore to Hong Kong.)
What’s the only thing better than a new, low cost opportunity? FCF examined many of the A380 routes and discovered—unlike what is often the case with award bookings—First and Business Class award seats have great availability.

Sample Savings in First Class
San Francisco-Hong Kong in First Class is $12,404 round-trip (inclusive) on the A380. A round-trip award ticket costs 140,250 miles and $346 in taxes and fees, including the 15% mileage discount for online booking. That’s an 8.6¢ return on miles. There’s no better way to use miles in the world right now in my opinion. This is an experience many would not pay cash for, yet it would be very memorable. See chart on page 4, for routes with award availability on the A380 in First and Business Class, starting at just $800 (if you have to buy points—which almost anyone can do).
Don’t Have Singapore Miles: No Problem
Have Starwood Starpoints? If yes, transfer 120,000 of them to Singapore—the amount that many airlines charge for a Business Class award seat. With the 5,000-point bonus for every 20,000 transferred, you’ll have the 140,250 miles for First Class to Hong Kong.
Have Amex Membership Rewards Points? If yes, just transfer 140,250 of them to Singapore’s KrisFlyer loyalty program, a Membership Rewards partner.
Don’t have enough Amex Membership Reward Points? You can purchase up to 500,000 per year at 2.5¢ per point.
Don’t have an Amex Card? Get one which participates in the Membership Rewards program (most do) and then buy the miles needed for a First Class seat for $3,525. That’s about 72% off to fly one of the top seats to Hong Kong.
Make sure you read the August FCF issue on buying and transferring points to specific mileage programs. Starwood gives you the 25% bonus; Amex often delivers a fast transfer time—within three business days (and sometimes even on the same day).

Want to Spend Less and Still Fly One of the Top Seats in the Sky?

Want to Spend Even Less: Fly Business Class
Singapore-Hong Kong Business Class is just 27,500 miles o/w and 23,375 miles—at a cost of $600 if you buy the points from Amex Rewards—with the 15% online discount; Singapore-Tokyo is 40,000 miles o/w and 34,000 miles online; New York-Frankfurt is 57,500 miles o/w and 48,875 miles online.
