In Brief: Lufthansa Promotion

Register for the “My Miles” promotion and earn 50% more miles on scheduled flights operated by Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, and Croatia Airlines. The offer is good for three round-trip flights; travel must be completed by January 31, 2009.

Delta’s New York, Boston, Wash., DC Shuttles Offer New First Class; Double MQM’s

Effective Dec. 1, Delta Air Lines is offering First Class on its shuttles from New York/LaGuardia to Boston/Logan or Washington, DC (Reagan), with SkyMiles Medallion elite members eligible for complimentary upgrades.

New and existing SkyMiles members can earn double Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) on shuttle flights by registering online (delta.com/shuttlebonus) and flying through Dec. 15.

The carrier also announced that by spring 2009, the entire shuttle fleet will offer broadband Wi-Fi access through Aircell's Gogo system for $9.95.

Air France Abandons Los Angeles

The carrier will discontinue its LA-London route, effective Nov. 5, but will add New York/JFK-London for the summer 2009 schedule.

Delta Offers Double Miles to France and UK
