Austrian Airlines Private Jet Option With 48 hours notice, Business Class passengers can have a Jetalliance private jet waiting for them in Vienna for time-saving connections to most airports in Europe. Other benefits: personal escort through dedicated passport and security checks in Vienna; access to either the Vienna Airport VIP Lounge or the Jetalliance VIP Lounge; and Austrian Business Jet limo transfer to the plane. Austrian Airlines, a Star Alliance member, operates the only non-stop flights to Vienna from New York, Chicago, Washington, and Toronto. Details: www.austrianbusinessjet.com.

Delta Blues Delta Medallion members checking in at the carrier’s kiosks no longer have to confirm that they wish to use a Medallion complimentary upgrade. They will be automatically transferred to the “airport standby list.” Great, thanks Delta, just what we want—to be on some “list.” My take: This reduces the already poor odds of getting an upgrade by putting everyone in line automatically perhaps cutting in half the likelihood of getting an upgrade. I don’t get it … why turn a perk into a tease?

BA Executive Club Drops Entrance Requirement You no longer have to have flown in a particular booking class within three months prior to joining. Enroll online at www.ba.com/executiveclub.
