Save up to 57% on First Class flights to Europe this summer
We told you last month that American Airlines has introduced a First Class cabin on their nonstop New York-Rome route flying their 777-300, which will be in service only through October 25 this year.
And then the news got even better.
The fares on this route began dipping like the first drop on a roller coaster track. So I can’t urge this enough: BOOK NOW. When we first saw this flight, the price ranged from $3,678 to $8,888. It’s now priced at just $2,639, which is barely more than a transcon Business Class flight.

Without a shadow of doubt:

It’s a similar story for miles. Last month we couldn’t find anything lower than 405,500 outbound in July. Now American is offering awards for 144,000 American miles round-trip with about $67 in taxes on quite a few days with award seats outbound in July for up to four travelers; on a handful of days with seats for four travelers on the return in August; and on quite a few days with two seats in both directions.
Award seats are offered for 164,000 and $92 taxes round-trip using Alaska miles.

And Now Paris
American Airlines also introduced a First Class nonstop flight from New York to Paris on their 777-300 for as low as $3,148. What is happening over at AA? More, please.
The only catch with this one is that the service is only offered for a very short travel window: from July 19 through August 5, 2024, outbound, and July 20 through August 5 on the return. It’s a small window but hey, if it coincides with your cousin Camille doing the cancan on her first night at the Moulin Rouge, then you grab it.
Compare that price to nonstop Business Class fares on those dates with American, which range from $2,922 to $7,274, and Delta and Air France, which range from $2,922 to $3,049. Once again, that’s an upgrade from Business to First.

Air France’s First Class cabin for the nonstop flight ranges from $11,425 to $17,425! And First Class fares on British Airways — with a stop in London — are priced at $4,206. Lufthansa and SWISS range from $10,800 to $13,800. So, $3,148 is a fantastique price and you should grab like a baguette straight out of the oven. Screenshot below.
By the way... For this Paris flight, forget using miles as American’s cost is between 153,000 and 410,000 each way.

Oh by the way, you may want to stay at the Prince de Galles, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Paris
Here at FCF we love the American Bar Association membership discount strategy and have reported on it many times including here, here, and here. An ABA membership offers great luxury accommodation discounts at high-end hotels such as the Four Seasons, Luxury Collection, Ritz-Carlton, Savoy (Fairmont), St. Regis, and Westin properties, among others. Membership is just $150 annually, which is paltry considering how it unlocks fantastic deals. Better still, you don’t have to be a lawyer or judge to join!
Case in point: With the membership, you can save 39% at the Prince de Galles, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Paris. The screenshot below shows that the average price per night is $1,088 BEFORE the ABA membership discount, and just $665 per night AFTER the discount is applied.
