Fare Deal to Sydney

I just got a First Class round-trip, Los Angeles-Sydney, for 140,000 miles, 60,000 of which I purchased for $1,970, meaning I got a $25,000 ticket for about $5,000! Thanks, Mr. Upgrade!

I took your advice (
Dec. ‘07, page 3) after I got my Platinum elite status from American, and contacted United, Northwest, Continental, Delta, and Alaska to see if they would match it. All five did! Delta, in fact, offered it until Feb., 2010!
