The airline’s first 2011 miles-buying promotion has landed. Is it as good as last year’s?
In a word, yes. The carrier that just can’t stop itself has come up with an outstanding special offer: Up to a 100% bonus when you buy 50,000 miles from now to March 31. (See FCF Nov. and May 2010 for booking details and opportunities.)
The Fine Print:
- There is an online twist: You get a 75% bonus on the first 50,000 miles purchased (37,500), and the other 25%(12,500) once you download, install, and complete at least three valid searches using the Dividend Miles Toolbar.
- Bonus only given when miles are purchased online.
- Dividend Miles accounts less than 12 days old do not qualify.
- Maximum miles qualifying for bonus: 50,000.
- Cannot be combined with another offer.

Delta Promotion
Get up to a 50% bonus when you buy or gift 60,000 miles between now and March 31.
The Fine Print:
- Delta’s twist: You must have earned at least one mile since enrolling in the SkyMiles program. (Which can be done by ordering flowers from 1800flowers.com for example.)
- Bonus only given for miles purchased online.
- SkyMiles accounts less than 10 days old do not qualify.
- Maximum miles qualifying for bonus: 60,000.

British Airways Promotion
Get up to a 40% bonus when you transfer Amex Membership Reward points to BA between now and March 31.
