Beginning next year Scandinavian Airlines International will introduce lie-flat Business Class sleeper seats on flights to the US and Asia.

Through May 29, British Airways is offering some World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy) seats to London from New York at $810 round-trip for midweek (Mon.-Wed.) departures. Among the perks is a double hand-baggage allowance (2 pieces totaling 26.4lbs.) plus your briefcase. This premium is also available from 19 US gateways, including New York, Boston, Washington, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, but fares may be higher. There’s a 14-day advance purchase and Saturday-night stay is required. Weekend travel (Thurs.-Sun.) adds a $30 surcharge each way. Government fees and taxes are approximately $150 extra. Travel must be completed by Oct. 26, 2005
