Iberia, the flagship carrier of Spain, is fast becoming a flag bearer for great deals, going by recent finds. Iberia is a oneworld carrier and an Amex transfer partner, and it’s currently offering Business Class mileage awards for 25% off round-trip, through April 11, for travel March 27 to June 15, and October 1 to December 15.
Sample Savings: United charges 115,000 miles in Business Class New York-Madrid round-trip, while Iberia charges as few as 51,000 miles with the current deal (56% less). That’s 9,000 less miles than United charges for economy! You’re essentially getting an upgrade for less than free. Another way to look at it: 89,000 miles less than Delta charges.
