Three First Class Flights Earn Elite Status

America West, on the heals of announcing its new, reduced First Class fare structure, is further encouraging premium class travel with a promotion offering elite status for just a few flights:

  • Earn Silver Elite status by flying three First Class round-trips
  • Earn Gold Elite status by flying six First Class round-trips
Tickets must be purchased by Jun. 30, for travel completed by Sept. 6, 2004. Qualifying tickets must be booked, purchased and flown in First Class. Purchased upgrades, upgrades based on mileage redemption or Elite status, award travel booked in First Class, and any other type of upgrade or complimentary travel does not qualify.

Continental Recuits More Elites

OnePass members who fly on an economy class H fare on Continental will earn 150% Elite Qualification Miles and two Elite Qualification Points — equivalent to that of Y fares.

H fares are often half as much as Y fares. Example H/Y fares: New York-Los Angeles $1,012/$2,256; Boston-Houston $860/$1,946; Miami-Cleveland $714/$1,382.
