Flash Deal Summary

Last month FCF revealed the new secret to getting the best First Class deal in town, using Air Canada miles for Lufthansa’s premium product — a major score even for all of you that have already purchased a ticket.

Air Canada, an Amex points-transfer partner, is a much better deal than Lufthansa’s Chase points partners, like United (with a tiny fraction of the availability AC offers) and Singapore Airlines (high taxes and much less availability). More about this juicy German jaunt here.  Plus watch for Part 2 in next month’s special report with even more juicy details.

Today, for up to four travelers, FCF’s research team has discovered an opportunity to save up $6,809 / 84% if you don’t have any miles and want to pay in cash or 70,000 miles, each way when compared to normal/everyday prices traveling to/from the U.S.

Sample Savings: Lufthansa’s Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami or Newark to Frankfurt’s normal/everyday price can often be 170,000 miles each way when using United miles but if you use Amex Rewards Points partner Air Canada miles the cost can be as low as 100,000 miles each way.

NO MILES? NO PROBLEM

Air Canada’s Aeroplan program is currently running a deal whereby miles can be acquired for as low as 1.3¢ each (includes taxes and processing fee), through a new, up to 80% bonus miles buy promo, which runs through July 30, 2021.

SAMPLE SAVINGS FROM U.S. TO EUROPE IN FIRST CLASS:

The published First Class fare on Lufthansa’s Chicago-Frankfurt route is $8,109 o/w; through the Air Canada miles-purchase strategy, you can pay $1,300 o/w (excludes about $55 in taxes outbound or about $187 return award taxes), a savings of $6,809 (84%).

More here on getting flights (based on availability) from around the U.S. to the hub (Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami or Newark) AND/OR flights from the destination (Frankfurt) to all over Europe.

Disclaimer:

Everybody knows how frequently airfares change (some estimates claim that there are up to 500,000 fare changes daily). Because that’s a few too many for First Class Flyer to keep up with, FCF cannot guarantee that all fares discussed will be available when you go to make a booking. Also, for the sake of quick and easy “executive summary” format, all fare rules and restrictions can’t possibly be included. Fares quoted usually include the average taxes and fees for the routes in the chart.
